Background

I was raised in Dearborn, Michigan and am married with two daughters. 
From September of 1972 to June of 2010 I was employed by the Hartland Schools working at Hartland High School serving as a teacher of math, electronics, computer applications, drafting and for two years as assistant principal. As a member of the teachers union, I negotiated labor agrements the districts teachers and for other school employees for the Michigan Education Association under their SNAP negotiator program. I also served as a negotiator and consultant to MESSA insurance employees in the private sector. I hold an FCC Extra Class Amateur Radio license.
